DETAILS:

Established in 2004 under auspices of the Cambodian Association of Illinois (CAI), the National Cambodian Heritage Museum & Killing Fields Memorial (NCHM) remains the only institution of its kind in the United States. It dedicates its programming to the Cambodian genocide awareness; advocacy for survivors and their families through story, memory, and history; healing arts; and youth leadership in peace building. NCHM's mission is to build community through shared healing through art, language, memory, and histories.

VISITOR EXPERIENCE:

Visitors are welcome to tour the permanent exhibition "Remembering the Killing Fields" and the Killing Fields Memorial. Museum staff members will give guided tours and answer questions. A sampling of Cambodian dessert will be offered on both days.
