DETAILS:

The Union League Club of Chicago, established in 1879, is one of the most prestigious membership organizations in the city. This 23-story Georgian Revival style clubhouse, completed in 1926, was designed by ULCC members Elmer C. Jensen and William Bryce Mundie of Mundie & Jensen. It occupies the site of the original ULCC clubhouse designed by William LeBaron Jenney and demolished in 1925. ULCC has amassed one of the nation's largest privately-held art collections including paintings, sculptures and antiques. It also features elegant guest rooms, ballrooms, dining rooms, lounges, a library, a state-of-the-art health and fitness center and a swimming pool. The club's members have played a role in establishing many of the city’s major cultural organizations, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Orchestra Hall, the Auditorium Theater and the Field Museum. The members were also instrumental in having Chicago selected as the site of the 1893 World's Fair. The interior features a breche violet marble entry, marble grand stairway, black walnut paneling and woodwork.

VISITOR EXPERIENCE:
