DETAILS:

HOK's relocated Chicago office brings the storied architecture firm to the 14th floor of the Prudential Building, once the tallest building in Chicago. The new layout unifies the interdisciplinary practice, seamlessly integrating physical model-making, review and collaboration pin-up areas, formal meeting areas, and fluid digital-analog workflows. It also includes diverse areas for collaboration and a state-of-the-art materials lab. The interiors feature exposed brick, steel columns, and a monolithic red travertine wall, juxtaposing raw historic character with refined contemporary forms. The workspaces also offer panoramic city views.

VISITOR EXPERIENCE:

Visitors will take a docent-led tour, including exhibits of previous work and current work in process. Enjoy spectacular views of Millennium Park as well.
